What do I do if my card-reader displays: 'BATTERY LOW' or 'NO POWER'?

These messages tell you that your card-reader will stop working after a few more uses. You can either replace the batteries (2 X CR2032) or order a new card-reader from us.

Changing the batteries

If you decide to replace the batteries, simply remove the battery compartment located at the bottom of the card-reader. You will need to use a pen or similar tool to push down the catch on the back of the reader to release the battery drawer. Take out the old batteries and insert new ones, please dispose of the old batteries safely.

Ordering a new card-reader

To order a new card-reader:

  1. Access your Anytime Internet Banking service at www.anytimebanking.ulsterbank.co.uk (opens in a new window)
  2. Select 'Security' from the menu
  3. In the 'Using a card-reader' section, select 'Order a card-reader'
  4. Select a reason from the drop down menu
  5. Click 'Confirm'
