Why has my unique number obtained from my card-reader and entered into my computer not been recognised?

If you receive this message try the authorisation process again and ensure that during 'Step 1' of the process you press the card-readers RESPOND button (the one with two arrows on it) as this is most common cause for the unique number not to be recognised.
